Avatar fans, hold on to your seats! The mastermind behind the blockbuster franchise, James Cameron, has finally disclosed new details about the highly-anticipated plot of Avatar 3.
Cameron has recently revealed that the third installment will introduce a new, more aggressive Na’vi clan on Pandora, unlike the peaceful tribes seen in the first two films.
This revelation comes as no surprise, as Cameron and Disney have planned a total of four Avatar sequels.
As fans of the franchise already know, the first two films introduced audiences to two different Na’vi clans, the Omaticaya and the Metkayina, which were peaceful tribes.
However, Cameron has stated that Avatar 3 will showcase “different cultures from those I have already shown” and will introduce the “Ash People,” a more aggressive Na’vi clan.
Cameron also revealed that the next film will explore new worlds and continue the story of the main characters.
He stated that “the last parts will be the best. The others were an introduction, a way to set the table before serving the meal.”
According to the official website of Avatar , production for Avatar 3 has already been completed and the film is set to hit theaters in December 2024.
Fans can expect even more thrilling and exciting plot twists in this next installment of the Avatar franchise.
In a Q&A with fellow directors, Cameron was asked if he ever felt bad that he was not able to tell all of the stories he wanted to because of the time consumption of Avatar.
He acknowledged the challenge but also stated that he is excited to continue the story and explore new worlds and cultures in the Avatar franchise.
Cameron also expressed frustration about the cost of making the Avatar franchise, calling it “very fucking [expensive]”.
However, he has given himself an out, stating that if sequels to a 13-year-old movie couldn’t find an audience, that five-film saga could instead be wrapped up in three.
The plot of Avatar 3 is shaping up to be even more exciting than we could have imagined, and fans can’t wait to see what James Cameron has in store for us next.
